So I have been doing some research for a movie Im writing. I have been watching movies about serial killers. I have been researching real life killers on the internet. No, Im not morbid. Im not some weird, pycho guy. The criminal mind just facinates me. Its interesting to try and understand how thier minds work. How can seemingly normal people, people who live "normal" lives, who have normal friends, and normal jobs can just murder someone in cold blood. How they can brutally distroy someones life? Not to mention the lives of thier loved ones.
Killers like Ted bundy, the first person to ever be called a "serial killer", John Wayne Gacy, and the BTK killer, Dennis Rader are prime examples of how normal these monster can seem. Ed Gein on the other hand wasn't your adverage killer, in fact he didn't really kill a whole lot of people. He was known more for dismemberment of corpses he dug up out of graves. Not many people know that Ed Gein was the inspiration for the texas chainsaw series. What makes a man peel the skin off of dead women so he can dance in the moon light in a suit of human skin while day dreaming of his mother and wishing he was a woman. What goes through someones mind that makes them think that killing people and doing these terrible acts is ok? Im not trying to be morbid or sick, I just feeling that by learning what I can from the history of killers I can better understand the characters in my story. Reasearch is 80 percent of writing a screenplay. I swear Im not going to kill anyone lol. Well not this week anyway.

They look so "normal". They look like you high school science teacher, the loan officer at your bank, your mailman. Just "normal" people, and really no one you would ever think twice about talking to.
